Bringing Back Beavers

Wednesday, 15th May 2024, 7.00pm

A talk by Rob Needham

Freshford Village Memorial Hall

This talk will be by Rob Needham, the local representative for the Beaver Trust. Having been extinct for hundreds of years, beavers are now being re-introduced because of the benefits they bring for biodiversity and flood protection. As many of you will know, we now have a healthy beaver population in the Avon catchment area and some specifically in the Frome at Freshford, so do come along and learn more!

Entrance FREE but donations are welcome on the night.

It would help us if you would please book on EVENTBRITE to help us gauge numbers. There will be a bar with wine and non-alcoholic refreshments.

Open Gardens 2024!

Saturday 1st June

Freshford Gardens: 10am - 1pm

Limpley Stoke Gardens: 2pm - 5pm

Tea and cakes from 4pm

Tickets with a map, £5 - available at the Galleries

There is a wonderful opportunity to see some of the varied gardens in both Freshford and Limpley Stoke on 1 June - a combined event between Nature Chain and the Horicultural Society. Sixteen gardens will be open for the price of only £5 per adult.
